My NOCO charges with a USB power brick… best I remember it’s a GB70, but it could be a smaller one.

EDIT… a power brick for a phone or something another that I had laying around. Mine didn’t include one. I also have the Wolfman and it does come with a power adapter. I’ve used it several times at work with good success.

99A4D4F9-4BE5-452E-A3BF-DAF6EE9E58E6.jpg Today many products use USB chargers. We purchase wall plugs that accepts USB chargers (can charge two at a time).

No. NOCO is the gold standard. Everything will have failures and people only complain about stuff that fails.

I saw a article about how things are NOT design to last. ( More about light bulbs in 30’s - all the manufacturers wanted repeat sales, limited 1,000 hours) today it is different.) Accept for China!
There is a fire station in America that has a light bulb running 24/7 for 104 years to keep the station house lighted.
Today many manufactures seek a .9999666 % rating to be consider successful.

NICO is consider a top brand product. A YouTube video convince me to go with Gooloo. ( I also own a NICO GB50)- which also sells the clamps only if they break-eBay.

Many years ago a inventor made a 100,000 mile tire, the patents was sold to a big name tire company. ( You will never see this tire).

A good wife will last a lifetime…. Ok smile. No returns accepted.

I have and used both NICO and Gooloo 4000 battery jumpers. Both performed very well. I do prefer the Gooloo more. Both are simple to use. I found the Gooloo ton hold the charging better.

I am not familiar with Halo brand. I am sure they all do very well. Remember there are many models and holding power. Mid range to higher end is something to consider. This will be a one time purchase. Always buy the best ones or higher end models, you can effort.
You engine may reqire a lessor model, but maybe someone may need your help that requires a more powerful battery jumper.

My brother-in-law accidentally left his keys on in the BMW. I just recharge his battery to full from a battery charger. BMW puts the battery in the rear of the car, not easy to access. Replacement BMW battery’s cost almost $500.00 dollars. The newer BMW models battery replacement requires a BMW mechanic to match the computer with the new batteries. something like that. Lucky he has a older model.

I also picked up the NOCO on that sale. I feel better having one in both vehicles and the Amazon special brand has been less than desirable at times.

Just make sure you check and charge them at least twice a year.

Man, NOCO must have something that really steps up the power of their lithium ion for jump starting, but as a cell phone charger it really drained my NOCO the one time I used it. Won’t be using it again for that except for low battery and an emergency.

Thank you for sharing this about lithium recharging power packs, how they drain fast Re-charging cell phones.
I have not try it on mines yet.
What size is your power pack?

    Another point to be made.

I wrote off a customers rav4 due to a booster pack igniting, it was tucked in a emergency bag and was likely crushed by groceries or a load.

The fire wasn't crazy, it just burned the immediate material around it.

The issue was the smoke. It was wild, you couldnt see through windows, the entire roof liner was black..

I don't store mine in my truck anymore. I only bring it with me for road trips.

If I were to buy an on hand one, it would be a super capacitor model.

Sorry to hear this. How was it store? We’re the cables on? The car interior too hot? Please what brand ?
One car smoke story do not make all battery boosters bad.

I have two store in my trucks, as it came from the factory. One is NICO and the other is a Gooloo. Sure any product can have defects too. Including battery boosters.
Always good to beware of possible situations. Prevention is better than any cure.

Same can be said of any lithium battery devices, they can heat up and burn.

I used my Audew today to jump start a stranger’s minivan. Worked like a charm, it’s three years old. Just 5 minutes out of my day to do a major solid for someone.

This Black Friday I will upgrade to a NOCO 70 or 150 if the sale is good enough.

Another brand to consider the “Gooloo 2000A & Gooloo 4000A. I have both a NICO & Gooloo .
I found the Gooloo holds the charge longer in storage.
Also on a YouTube video of a person testing over a dozen brands of battery jumpers , the “Gooloo” came out on top.
After using both, I found the Gooloo easier to use and charge.

I am guessing the bigger the wattage like a 4000a and up will do better in recharging cell phones. And not drain the battery charger as much.
Off course recharging a battery recharger is a simple thing too. No matter the wattage. After recharging a cell phone.
As long as it works for your purposes. It is then is a good thing.
