I have not heard that the tailgate lock is specific to any trim level, just long bed vs. short bed for the 2 kits. The connections should be available on all wire harnesses. If you installed it and it is not working, it is not because it is an SR5. Check your connections. Possibly only the upper trim levels accommodate the kit, but there is no SR5 kit vs. TRD kit I am sure. Only long bed vs. short bed.

They are all the same minus length, not trim level. What’s not working ?
I installed the kit on mine not long ago… no issues here. Does your truck not have power locks or something ?

I have a TRDOR and installed myself. My buddy had a SR5 and bought and installed the same kit as me with no issue.

Hi, guys, first thank you all for the response, and sorry for the delay, I was waiting on a new tailgate lock.
this is the problem so far after installing 2 new Tacoma O&M tailgate locks, when I click to unlock or lock the doors the tailgate does not do anything, I checked the voltage on the connector on the tailgate door and has 0V.
On another website, somebody told me maybe I am missing a relay or something else since I have the very cheap SR5 Tacoma 2022(2WD access cab 4X2, 6'1' bed 14AT, 2.7L L4).
I check continuity on all wires and everything is ok, but still not working, I tested the new tailgate lock on a Toyota TRD and the system worked fine.
I think I am missing a relay or another component, any help will be very appreciated.

There are 2 fuses on the wires towards the tailgate at the cab connection (kick panel) check that they are there and not missing or blown.

what wires did you connect to?
Start there, it sounds like you might have the wrong ones,,,, oh and be very careful, you don't want to blow anything.

Did you just click once to unlock? (driver's side only works this way)

the connector is pretty much a plug-in-play, but I checked continuity and they are in the correct spot, and in the remote, I touch two, three, and four times and the system did not work.

Can you test the power flow while pressing the remote or door unlock switch? The locking/unlocking relays rest to ground, they switch polarity for unlock and lock. That is why the voltage reads zero, you'll only get a reading while selecting unlock or lock. Remove the tailgate panel and test the actuator, it might of failed, be locked or binding on the innards of the tailgate or even the locking bars are bent preventing the actuator (solenoid) to function.
