Here’s a quEstion for you. From what I was seeing this morning, with the new shipping requirements from FedEx and UPS, if I send my rifle back to Ruger for repairs I can ship directly to them since they’re an ffl. However, for them to ship back to me it’ll have to be shipped to an ffl and transferred back to me. Have you seen this?

 

did fedex recently change their rules? I sent a gun in for warranty work in august and I mailed it straight to the manufacturer and they were able to ship it back to me at my house via fedex just requiring a signature.

 

According to what I’ve seen, YouTube, it appears shippers will be required to have all sorts of information even our personal information to ship firearms and I believe even parts. They will also not be shipping firearms strait to us from manufacturers (repair or warranty returns) they’ll have to get back to us through an ffl. I’m kinda trying to figure out how much of this is factual

 

Fedex changed early September 2021.

What you’re talking about was the old way, the way it’s suppose to be, where you get it back at your house. Some places aren’t doing that unfortunately, unless something happened.

 

This has always been the case. Only when shipping to a different person does it require an ffl.

All the new shipping rules are fedex / ups policy not law.

 

Got a box of CCI 22LR subsonic, and a box of Federal AE 22LR Suppressor to feed through the 15-22. Also picked up the 50 Beowulf rifle from the FFL and gave them the idea of looking into becoming a Silencerco Speq dealer since there isn't one within a hours drive.

 

Is the Federal AE the black box, where'd you find those at? Haven't seen them in awhile.

 

No, red box. Got it at my LGS while waiting for the BGC to go through. Perk of having CHL, was 2nd in line to get processed.

I have both. They basically feel the same. The only difference is the Laure is $90 new, $80 used. The G2S is like $180 new $100 used.
