Debating on getting either KO2 or Grabber ATX's, for those who have/are running these what's your thoughts so far on tread life, balancing, performance on/off road?

I'm only considering these two as they have 3pms rating + the look I am wanting. Will be running them all year round.

I like my Grabbers a lot. They’re pretty noisy for an AT tire but they also have an extremely aggressive tread for an AT tire, so I kind of expected it.

I’ve had them for about 15K miles now and they still look basically new. Most of that has been highway driving. They handle absolutely perfect on wet/dry pavement. I instantly felt safer with them on the truck once I got rid of the crappy stock HT Toyo’s.

With proper maintenance I’ll easily get 60K miles out of these. I haven’t had any issues with balancing and for the light off roading I do, they preform flawlessly. They do sling rocks and gravel like a bitch, though.

If you don’t mind the road noise, I highly recommend them. I’m running E rated grabbers so that also makes them more noisy than the average C or SL rated all terrain tire.

    I don’t have any experience with KO2s.

just bought my 3rd set of grabbers, and i think they are quiet.. 275/70/17's...... i had kO's once, that was enough, they came on my 2015 Pro, i did not like them, the LT grabber's tread is super deep.. smooth ride.. i like white letters..

I've had both. Grabbers IMO are superior.

Edit: Just noticed you are in Canada. In that case 100% go with the Grabbers. KO2's sucked for me in the snow here in Wisconsin (basically southern Canada).

I guess I'm required to share a picture now too? SCS BR6 and Grabbers seem to be a good combo based on this thread lol.

Grabbers are head and shoulders above KO2 IMO. I hated KO2s. I like the Grabber ATX and Toyo ATIII about the same. They’re very similar in real world use in pretty much every category.

KO2's have lots of complaints but its because its the most popular AT tire out there.

I don't care for them personally, but I can say one thing. They have a much better looking sidewall than the generals.

If looks matter, the KO2 wins. Both are very similar otherwise. I used to work at a shop that would push general grabbers on everyone, and they always had very similar results as KO2's.

    - ICON UCAs, BP51/Kings, SCS wheels, 285s, Leer 100XR canopy. Greenlane aluminum winch bumper, Smittybilt X20 winch. Trying Falken AT3w now, Really like BF KO2s.
I have 285 70 17 KO2s in C load, 51lbs, I really like them, tough, good mpg, work great. Just drove up Baldy mtn to the fire lookout last weekend by Little Fort, BC. Hooked up great, 4L, really rocky heading up. I’ve never had an issue with them, I’d buy them again. In winter I run them around 30 psi or so. I do have a canopy so that adds weight on the backend.

Went with grabbers in 285/75r16. Damn tough to find, lots of places said out of stock and couldn't order more for a while from general.

Here they are next to my 265/75r16 toyo at3

    Yes, 0 offset.
Tires sit poking out of the fenders by a bit, I think it's perfect look though

Might be too late but decided to chime in.
I currently have KO 2’s and they last forever I have 50k+ miles on mine and Plenty of tread however they are so scary when it gets wet I’m going to replace soon.

lose traction at the strangest of times. Not when you’d want to play when it gets wet. Also discovered Friday that stopping when wet was a lot more difficult as I slid half way through intersection before stopping. At least cross traffic was paying attention and didn’t go yet.

I’d stay clear of Ko2’s and I’m going to be getting out of them.
