Organizing the shop a bit before starting tacoma work and am curious on what everyones' shop playlists are all about?
Currently on an all Black Keys kick lately and it's currently my favorite choice for cranking on stuff but am always down for learning about different/new music.

    Whataya got?

i like obscure. i listen to normal stuff every day on normal radio. the garage is for the weird.
    either

    or tunein:
pulse 87 out of new york, electronic dance

djfm, out of ontario, electronic dance

extra music, out of colorado, local college station, mostly alternative/rock from the 80's-2000's, but tend to play some of the lesser-played stuff. the weekday programming tends to be better than the weekend programming. or at least my attitude is.

I have somewhere north of 2000 CDs covering many genres.

If I'm doing fussy, tedious work I like to put on smooth jazz like Bob James. Generally play it down at a background level like Muzak.

For "keep moving" work like cleaning I cover a lot of bases, country with some drive is always good like Sawyer Brown, working man :canada: Charlie Major, Western Swing band Asleep at the Wheel or shift gears and play The Cars, some 80's techno-pop like Berlin, quirky voiced Dale Bozzio & Missing persons or the always reliable big production sound of Styx -- or Chicago.

For a quiet work day, especially a rainy one, Texan Nanci Griffith (RIP) is an engaging storyteller that draws you in, there are no filler lines in her songs, every word is part of the story.

Lately I have gained a new appreciation for Clint Black, when he came out he was a reliable hit maker, revisiting his work there are a lot of words - a lot of clever content, he is my current favorite of the week.
