Long travel coilover input needed

Has anyone ran the oem performace kings or fox ext travel on a +2.5 or +3.5 long travel kit?

I'll be waiting awhile for the 2.5 8" kings to be delivered and was planning on running my 3.5 Kit with the oem kings. Limit straps and bump stops would be adjusted so I don't kill the shocks.

 

i have the jd fab 2.25 lt kit and i am running the stock extended length coil overs on my truck no problem. i just have it strapped to the right height

Im gather all my parts lt kit, gussets, double shear kit, bypass hoop, etc.
Plan to do a week long install next spring.

Have you measured your wheel travel?

 

Yes i am strapped at 12”

 

Put some wood blocks with the jack. Got a flat and the stock jack on the frame wouldn’t get the rim off the ground!

I ended up digging under the lca and putting it under but not sure it would fit without digging

 

So your cycling 12" of travel with oe style coilovers. Based off tinkeres YouTube long travel video kings and camburg lt kit only have about 13.xx usable travel.
So upgrading to 8" kings would only gain 1" of travel.

 

You can get more than the 1” but the limiter is your stock cv joints. You would have to change to jdfab upgraded joints or rcv

Tinkerers was limited by uca hitting Wheel well at full bump and uniball at full droop. Right around 13.xx" but with proper bumps tops and limiting straps you looking at 13ish inches of travel.

 

I think the extra is from their kit being the 3.5 vs my 2.25. But i also didn’t do quite so much measuring. Cool video though
