I’ll look into that kit, I really just want to plug the hole even if it’s a dummy camera.

The dealer took about 3 weeks to call me. They said Toyota corp controls the order for that grille. Once they called, it was shipped about the next day.

I was thinking about just plugging the hole up as well, but I didn’t know how big the hole actually is. There’s all kinds of different sized rubber and plastic plugs for that sort of thing from places like McMaster-Carr, etc. Just need to measure the hole with some calipers to get a quasi-accurate measurement.

I hoping to find a camera that will fit the Pro grill camera hole so it will look stock. There is a Natika that might work.

It does suck to buy the Anytime camera and then buy another camera that fits the Pro camera hole.

From what I can tell, the anytime camera IS the Natika camera. At least the generic pics looked the same.

Ah, I should have specified which camera. This Natika might work fine.
    https://www.amazon.com/Backup-Front-Side-View-Camera/dp/B083SF5VVN?crid=18HQ9WR1FDQZH&keywords=natika+backup+camera&qid=1667304406&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIyLjA3IiwicXNhIjoiMS45NSIsInFzcCI6IjEuNzQifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=natika%2Caps%2C215&sr=8-4

I've considered going ahead and purchasing this camera and installing it in the grill but the truck I have ordered may or may not come with MTM.

I didn’t want to do the front camera mod and wanted to plug the hole. Here are some part numbers:
    Camera bracket PT595-35210
Plug or cap for camera hole PT413-35210

Might do the front camera mod or might not. This will work for now and it’s cheap. 01B37899-12C1-480E-9061-3340303E5618.jpgF2324386-43AA-4F95-8D7B-D0F9F75C2726.jpgA959CB33-30ED-4DCD-88E6-ADEE329AD39A.jpg1542168F-1FB0-4541-974D-937CB989B42C.jpg375DF0C3-68C8-421D-956B-7B8BB3F5D47A.jpg

Thanks a ton for this! While I want the front camera, I want to wait until summer to do it. This will allow me to mount the grille in a way that works and looks well, until I can actually mount and install the camera.

    That came out nice.

If my truck has the 360 cam will I need this bracket to re-mount the camera that comes with the OR grill? My allocation is open to allow for the 360 cam or not.

From what I’ve read, yes because the bracket to hold the camera is different on the pro grille.

Try the dealer in Olathe, KS. I've heard they sell accessories at a fraction of what other dealers wanna charge. IE...every once in a while I see on hear someone got an OEM bedmat for like $69 thru them.

I've ordered most of my 3rd gen Tacoma parts from ToyotaPartsDeal.... including the PT228-35200-AA. I had to provide a VIN from a 2020 and newer TRD Pro. I simply found one for sale at a dealer and used the VIN and year and provided it to the dealer. It's a silly game to play. I've heard Toyota was doing away with this game starting in 2023.

Has anyone heard if Toyota is still requiring TRD Pro VIN, or not anymore? TIA.

I tried on Saturday and they wouldn’t let me even with a pro vin. Although I was trying to buy the one that comes with the lift kit (black letters) instead of the pro one with grey letters.

@KevKev_22 thanks for the reply. I did try myself late December and ordered . PT22835200AA. Dealer was looking for Pro VIN, photos of damaged grill and insurance repair estimate. Needless to say my order got declined and canceled. I was hoping they did away with those requirements this year as was mentioned here.

Have you ordered through there before? Says that it may not fit. Possibly because I have a sport, and I’m trying to order a TRD pro grille.
No pictures on this site, but the description seems to match. The picture of the grille is the one I’m trying to get.

I ended up purchasing from ToyotaPartsDeal and had to provide a VIN from a 2020-2022 TRD Pro to get it. I got the Pro grill(PT228-35200-AA)..... I wanted the silver letters and camera mount/shroud).
