If you pick the same configuration, the price different between the SR5 and Sport/OR The price difference is less than 2 grand.

Apples to Apples, it isn't a valid comparison to look at an I4 RWD Access Cab model and compare it to a 4x4 V6 Double Cab model.

I never tried to convince you your impressions of your two vehicles was incorrect; only that a sample size of two does not a definitive conclusion make.

You're right it gets closer at a $1600 difference. A bed sticker, hood scoop and different alloys may be worth $1600 to some.

I went base and added a locker and TRD suspension. Love my truck. Coming from a 1st Gen, it's all I ever need. Not too fancy not too basic. At $27,000. No regrets.

Probably doesn't apply to you but here in Canada we can only get a double cab long box in sr5 and sport. The OR is dbsb or aclb.
I went from an 18 sport to a 2020 OR and for the most part im happy. Slightly better suspension and that locker has helped me out. But I sure do miss that extra foot of space at times, especially camping.

Except it isn't for us manual transmission drivers (the TRD Sport is actually less expensive than the SR5):

Of course it’s less expensive. It’s a different transmission. Apples to apples.

Except for those of us demand a manual transmission and would actually pay extra for one.

LOL Dude it's like Calvin-ball in here with you. You asked for an apples to apples comparison a few posts back but then want to make exceptions.. you can't have it both ways. By your most recent logic the 2017 SR I4 manual transmission owner's spanked your purchase price by over $8,000.

If you don't like it you can sell the Sport for more than you pay if you can buy for msrp. Then you can buy an OR. You will want a KDMax tune with either one. But you can't lose if you buy it right.
