Hey everyone I just started looking for a Tacoma and stumble upon a 2017 TRD pro for $34,990 with 71k miles. Test drove it and it seemed fine. Color is a reddish orange.

Looking for a more comfortable truck than my 2001 tacoma for long commutes. Also need 4x4 for my job. How comfortable is the ride on the highway? Lots of road noise?

Deal seems great to me but as I just started looking am not sure.
Is this a good deal and should I jump on this or I can find something better?

    Any other advice appreciated.
    Thanks

Depends on what you want … pro comes with a few goodies that are great over the other trims. But 71k miles isn’t a spring chicken…

I would probably get a mid range trd off road for 41 new and have a warranty.

road noise is fine on these unless someone decided to “upgrade” the tires. Ride should be comfortable

The 2017 TRD Pro did not come in reddish orange... Barcelona Red does not look orange at all...

Sounds like it may be a "converted" TRD sport or OR. Got a link to the ad?

Barcelona Red was a 2017 Pro color.

If I had to guess, attached is the vehicle in question.

Maybe you saw this... but this is why Shaker and I are questioning the validity of this "Pro".

Check the attached file. That VIN is for sale right now in WV for the exact price the Op mentioned and with 71k miles. It's a Barcelona Red Pro.

Ah... then OP is a nut job, for thinking BR looks orange.

Could be partial colorblindness? My girlfriend sees my AG as brown.

Fly to Utah and buy one brand new. Admittedly the truck market is insane. I got mine new for $40k, Check out Mark Miller Toyota. Fly out and drive it home. They even picked me up at the airport. Its what I did. Tell 'em Large Marge sent ya. hahahahhahhahahahahahah

That is a correct color for a 2017 Pro though, along with White and Cement.

2017 was one of my favorite pro years. No sunroof, CD player, and all the goodies minus all the nannies. It'll drive well unless they beat it to death on the trail for 71K mi.

Best advice I'd give for buying used... wait a few months if you can. Not like 6 months no, but closer to 2-3 (again if you can). Christmas time, bills to pay, and I am starting to see more for sale signs pop up on cars driving around town than I was even a few weeks ago.

As someone who has owned a Barcelona red and Inferno, some barcelonas fade and you definitely see some orange in that red.

My Barcelona Red still looks great after 7 years. I do keep it in my garage and I will only use Meguiar’s Carnauba Wax.
