Hey all. Happy Halloween! Have a ARE HD Series topper with side fiberglass panels that open up. Doesn't have any type of screen but was curious if anyone has made or found ones that insert into those openings when the doors are open and also the sliding window at the front of the topper? Don't have an open pic at the moment but would be looking for something for these types of doors.

Is the interior carpeted? I have side sliders with screens so no help there but for the front slider I just used a piece of mosquito netting with adhesive backed Velcro on the top and bottom and tape the sides to the glass with blue painter's tape (easy off with no residue). It was a quickie solution for a trip not long after I got the shell and I had every intention of making a nicer net but I'm lazy and this works surprisingly well- I think I'm on the second one since 2006. It rolls or folds up so it doesn't take hardly any room or you can just stick it to the roof out of the way.

When I sleep with the back open, either just the window or the window and tailgate, I drape a surplus cot mosquito net over the opening. Again, kinda ghetto but it works well enough.

Yes, has the carpeting on the topper and has the bedrug covering the whole inside of the bed. Yeah a mosquito net is what Im thinking and maybe I can make a frame or something when I have some time to make some inserts

My original idea for the front window was to make a frame with Velcro at the top and bottom and strips of foam on the sides (to form a seal against the glass) but like I said, I'm lazy.

I made a "roof" to put over the gap between the shell and the cab so I could leave it open when it was raining too- just a piece of plexiglass I had with magnets hot glued on one side (the cab side) and a couple of suction cups for the fiberglass shell side. I've got a similar piece that clips into the Yakima roof tracks and has a bungee that clips into the fenderwell so I can leave a side window open as long as it's not very windy. It's what happens when you look around the garage and figure out what you can rig up. :homer:

An ARB screen tent awning off the back would be pretty sweet. (not my photo)

Looking at the slumberjack setup that I saw another member sold on here. It goes off the back and has a screen that would take care of the rear tailgate/door opening but for more ventilation I was looking at the side doors and front slider of the topper. Florida gets a little warm :bananadead:
