I'm trying to change the easy exit seat feature on my Sequoia, is that something I would be able to do with techstream? Also, is the $40 Amazon cable workable? Or do I need the Mongoose one....

 

I got my cable from Amazon. Besides figuring out how to configure techstream with the cable, it has worked fine.

 

From what I have seen, you would have to ask someone with your year/gen sequoia. Tech stream only shows data and options for the connected vehicle, so I can’t say if it is an option for you.

That's been "out" for the '10-'19 4Runner. It's their standard blower. VFTuner has recently added support for the '20+ 4Runner so they could now offer to the newer vehicles where previously they were un-tunable.

Just because the blower is designed to fit, the rotors are larger and is one of if not the current largest offering in the TVS lineup doesn't mean it will deliver power the same way the current one offered from TRD/ Magnuson will, which is designed to do so all across the RPM range. The 2650's require being wound out high in the RPM range to make their power on 6.2L+ sized engines and since the Tundra is a 5.7L it will require being wound out that much more. What I'm saying is that the 2650 is not worth it unless you are racing and spend a lot of your time in high RPM range because they are oversized for smaller displacement V8's.

It's the equal to running carburetors that are too large for an engine. Which was a mistake a lot of dudes made back in those days. You aren't going to make the power you need when you want it, you are going to have much less initial torque and much less acceleration off the line.

 

So it's really a Turbo? LOL

 

For those size engines.. yeah.

Better to stick with 1.9L displacement blowers over 2.65L displacement blowers. I believe the only in between size is a 2.3L which would be the TVS2300... Seems a bit much as well.

Just because you could doesn't mean you should.
