Just crossed 8k miles in my 2022 Tacoma. Made the trip from NY to FLA via 95 avg 23 mpg over 1325 miles one way. It was a comfortable non stop ride all the way down. Stopped for gas and a quick bite on the way. Had no road fatigue or pressure points that were painful during the trip. In full disclosure I'm 6'2" and 300lbs......all muscle lol. I'm keeping my Tacoma for a very long time.

I toyed with the idea of taking mine on our Tennessee trip, but the wifies RDX just highways soooo much better. Adaptive cruise and 8 speed transmission was awesome.

But other than that, I like my taco too!

I've not done more then 4-5 hours straight in mine, but have been fine in it. I think the road noise over a 14hr drive would have added up. Plus, the RDX gets about 50% more mpgs than the taco. But around town, I'll take either equally and prefer the taco.

I’ve done Florida to Maine and back to Florida a couple times in my taco straight thru. It’s no Cadillac but I think sitting down for that long in anything ur gunna get uncomfortable.

I find it very comfortable. Did 21 hours straight without any major issues. Maybe fidget a little the last 2 hours but not uncomfortable.

NY to FL is all down hill. You will be lucky to get 20 mpg on the way back.

I tell myself the all muscle thing too...until I believe it LOL. Have made that drive many times myself (from NJ and VT) until one day about 12 years ago I made the trip and just stayed :) I have no problems with the comfort level in my truck either, have done shorter road trips since I bought it but never an issue. I used to follow the "three and out" rule with my vehicles but this one I've set up to keep for a long time. The market since I bought this truck just pushed me over the edge. I'll keep what I have.

Have you tried installing those "seat jacker" spacers that change the angle of the seat? Some people swear :stirthepot: by them.

I love my seat jackers just put them on the back as I found the pump lever doesn't get you high enough im 5'7 and have had 2 back surgeries.

I drove from Dayton, Ohio out to the Black Hills of South Dakota a few weeks back, a little over 20 hrs in one shot both ways. The Taco certainly wasn't bad, I was comfortable enough, but I've done the same drive in a 2015 Ram 1500 and a 2020 Subaru Forester, both were far superior for ride quality and I felt less driver fatigue. I averaged just under 18 mpg for the trip. Certainly not complaining, I'll be taking the Taco on plenty more road trips in the years to come, but for me, that's definitely not one of it's strong suits.

I'm 5'10", and getting in the truck is a bit of a PITA. I wish the steering wheel could be angled up just a click more which would make it easier for me to slide into the seat. I'd try the seat jackers for my lower-back, but it would make it even more challenging to get in the seat I think.:bananadead:

I’m 5’9” and have the jackers. They do make it a little more difficult getting in. I also wish the wheel would go another click up and an inch back. Haven’t done more than a 2 hour trip yet but find it quite comfortable with the jackers.
