Hello, I'm a long time Jeep Wrangler owner ( 22 years) who has been wanting a Tacoma for years but had a Jeep. Unfortunately my well kept '98 Jeep was hit by a stop-sign runner on a highway. Totaled it and I had to walk away with a broken heart and some bumps and bruises. Looked at new and recent year used Tacomas and nearly had a heart attack from prices. This is a crazy used car market. Finally found a 2006 Tacoma with 48K miles that was turned in at a Lexus dealership. Odometer verified, previous owner maintenance verified by CarFax : they did regular fluid changes plus full trans, diffs, brakes and power steering flush and refill at 35K miles. It needs paint work ( mainly sun-fade and some very minor body work). No rust on frame and no leaf spring issue. No recalls for the VIN. Inside is very clean and no real wear.

Any suggestions or tips from the Taco Tribe are welcome.

Nice 06. So clean and low miles. Mine is also a 2wd 06 sitting at 150k miles. I recently installed a Detroit Truetrac and I've put about 80 miles off-road... It's made a massive difference. Welcome!
