    2021 Tacoma TRD Pro
I have just joined the Tacoma world with my purchase of a 2021 TRD Pro which I am currently outfitting. I have add a molle plate in front of the driver's seat and installed by Stinger 2020 charger/holder there. Now I have looking a good place to power the charger. The charger will work on 12v (at 0.8A) or a 5V Micro USB. I have a 12V to micro USB converter that will probably make the cleanest install.

I am looking of a recommendation for a 12V source under the driver's seat. It is equipped with powered and heated seats. I guess another option is to find a source under the the dash and run under the floor panel at the door.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Dumped the Tacoma, that's all it needed.
Any of the powered options that are OEM under the seat AND being used, should not be used for an additional item to be powered.

the risk of overloading an OEM circuit is there, and that’s something to definitely avoid. Best case scenario you pop some fuses, worse case scenario you damage factory harness wires.

my recommendation here would be to run a USB cable from inside the console, through a small hole in the bottom of the console, and come out under the seat, avoiding seat tracks and wires of course and using loom and grommets where needed. I’m assuming that your truck has a USB plug in the console like my 23 does.

if you are dead set on using wiring that is already there, avoid touching yellow or orange connectors and go to town with the DMM or power probe. If you don’t know what either of those are, then you shouldn’t be going at this project alone.

Tap the aux outlet in the center console or run your wires under the carpets and up the doorsill to the internal fuse panel and use the empty constant 12v slot.
