    This has been resolved. .....

So we have a Sequoia and everytime it rains, it leaks like running water thru the handles in the front. What causes that? It is on both sides.

Also, we have a thunking noise at about 15 mph everytime we accelarate but it shifts smoothly and doesn't slip when shifting. It sounds like something hit the bottom when driving. Or as if a spring can't turn and springs back. It doesn't matter if it is cold or warmed up. No mechanic can find the problem.

    Thank you for your answer(s),
Mom of 4 and a husband exhausted, tired and overworked. Unfortunately, not mechanically inclined.

    Hello Scorchedtaco,

It has a 124,000 miles on it but this sound has been happening for about 60,000 miles.

My first suspicion would be the drive shaft . Have you been keeping up with greasing the u-joints every oil change? Are you 4-wheel drive? Also the limited slip center diff might be a culprit . If you have a go -pro camera id mount it under there and go driving & see if something is worn out and allowing too much movement when that sound hits…

I have a video of the sound but I can't seem to upload it here.
