This is a good option, mine took a little sanding to fit correctly.

How hard was it to install? Does it go in a freeze plug or just a random hole in the block?

EDIT: just watched the install video... its just a hole in the block... weird.

Anyways, how well does it work?

Yeah, from under the truck above the driver side exhaust (orange thing). 20221103_204506.jpg

Tbh I don't think I can give it a full review. Anchorage stays fairly warm, coldest usually around -10F°. But the few folks I know run them in Fairbanks like them, usually in conjunction with a pan heater or more.

Anchorage is about the same when it comes to temps to us, though we do get some wild below -20f swings that will last for a week.

Ill have to order one, etrailer says I will get it by november 30th.

EDIT: oo, looks like the autozone a few miles away has one in stock! Might be able to grab one this weekend.

I found my order, looks like I used the 100w pad. TBH I only plug that and the trickle charger in for long term parking or colder than -10.

Probably the last wash and wax for a while due to a possible shoulder surgery in my near future. Method 703's are on order so more pics to follow in the next couple months.

Looks great but the driver’s side reverse won’t light up, the turn signals both work but not that reverse part.

    Currently waiting on emails.

You try swapping the switchback bulbs? Would help cross some variables off the list if it's the bulb or wiring

Finally I get to post in this thread! Lol before and after. Installed the trail wheels. I like how they give the illusion of a wider wheel with the different backspace or offset. But I also notice that my axle is shifted about an inch to the passenger side. Weird. I measured from the frame to the tread on the tire.

I will try that. Hopefully just the bulb needs to be replaced.
