    On the silver truck I mounted the seats directly to the cage. Myself and the owner are both 6’2 so I mounted the seats where they were perfect for us and the hell with everyone else. There is tons of head room especially since ALL of the interior sheet metal is cut out and the cage is welded directly to the outer most layer of the cab skin. The tunnel has to be notched for the floor tubes to pass through and then patched back up.

    Out of curiosity, in that second picture, are those harness bars connected to anything other than the B-pillar on the outside? Seems like a lot of leverage, but I wasn't sure if it was an "in progress" picture.

    I don’t see any issue like that…. That’s a pretty damn strong harness bar.

    It’s 1.5” .188 wall with 1.25” .120 gusset... it’s not going anywhere

    May I ask the reasoning for running the floor tubes in the cab vs under the cab? The way I’m intending to do mine is under but was more curious.

    It’s easier, gives you a place to mount seat tubes and seat belt tabs and in a roll over the floor tubes distribute the load along the floor of the cab as opposed to being underneath

    hey Harry on the front seat mount tube does that go all the way thru? Hard to tell from the picture. I’ve gotta find a way to jog it up and around with the tunnel since I’ve got a nv231 transfer case and it’s a long ass transmission setup.

    No, the tube is welded to the trans tunnel and then there is a .120 cromoly plate skip welded to the seat tube and to the factory seat mount area. I then dropped a tube straight down to the top of the frame... between the vertical tube and the plate structure the seat isn’t going anywhere

    Would you ever take out the side curtain or front air bags on a dedicated crawler if it’s caged?

    @81Trekker will the second gen kit work on a 2002 gx470? I think it’s the same suspension as a 4th gen 4Runner

    wish I could take the credit. Got a buddy in phoenix who all he does is cages for drift cars and whatnot. This was his first dirt truck cage but he knows how to make shit strong for sure.

    Yes the kit will work, the axles will most likely need to get shortened by about 1/2”. With the kit installed and the arms parallel to the ground (shortest distance between the CV’s) make sure the axle has a little plunge. If it doesn’t you can simply trim the 934 side of the axle since there isn’t a c clip on that side

    Does anyone want my oem boots and inner tie rods that came with my new rack and pinion. No need for them with the slide rack. Just didn't want to just throw them away.

    I also have a used rack, knuckles, lca's, and 5100's. If anyone wants them for cheap. I'll probably just toss them if no one wants them.

    Also some parts for the secondary pump system that everyone takes off so not sure if anyone would need anything but thought I'd ask. And dust shields.

    Just message me if interested.

    Thanks
