I’ve searched but can find anything about the possibility of adding dual zone a/c. Has anyone heard of someone trying it?

Trade it in for a Tacoma with it.

Some have tried, but no one has done it. Its just too expensive for all the parts. If you have access to a totaled tacoma with it, then you might be able to swap in the dash harness, hvac box, and controls. But you still might need some ECMs and programming done to get it to work.

In general its just not worth it to retro fit it.... driver decides the temperature and the music, everyone else in the truck is getting a free ride so they should not complain.

Seems like a 2 step process to me.
I believe there was a guy on the fr-s/brz forums that did it. He bought a salvaged car, and basically just used his original car shell to house everything from the salvaged vehicle.

Step 1, disassemble entire truck interior including dash. Disassemble enough of motor to gain access to main wire harness.

Step 2, swap in main wiring harness from dual zone truck. Season with new HVAC box, new replacement modules, 2+ years without a truck, and divorce papers.
