What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

That's it exactly. And it's not there all the time. This is the only place I can think of where it's coming from.

 

They go over the OUTTER ring. That's where the chrome piece is. The ones from Meso and AJT replace the entire vent ring, both the inner and outer. For $20 and saving time not having to pop the dash or vents of...it was an easy decision for me to make.

Nope, not there all the time. Seems to be speed and crosswind dependent. But once it starts up, it drives me up a wall.

 

Yupppp lol. I haven't heard the noise since I added it, but I have not driven enough to say if it is actually gone or not. Don't want to post in too much detail about what I did in case it was a big waste of time.

Can’t speak to the AJT ones, but the meso kit replaces the chrome “outer” rings only

 

2nd Gen Tacomas had a whistle to them as well. If the front windows were cracked slightly, even just one of them, the wind noise came from the windshield seal that wasn't actually sealing very well. We had to stuff some 1/4" rubber tubing in certain areas to keep them quiet.

 

Nothing new to report. Off to shuffle

 

What u going to shuffle? Board, dance, cards what exactly do you shuffle?

 

Installed a 2” OME full suspension lift including shocks (not lift spacers) & auxiliary battery with automatic isolator. Body Armor Proline front bumper & 9,500lb Smittybilt winch.

 

Hopefully next mods will be e-locker in the front & 4.30-1 gears front & rear. Then Method rims & 285/75-R17 General Grabber ATX’s.

 

Added custom decals. Was told they would add 10-20hp.

 

4x4=16, so that’s all the horsies you get.

Not much today. I installed a pair of Deer Whistles on my front bumper. The deer are out in force around here. Better safe that sorry. The last time I installed a set of these was in 1977 on my F150 4X4. If the Deer Whistles don't work, my "Grumpy Cat" will attack.....

 

So I added a tire I found in a McD’s parking lot. My wife said what you gonna do with that. I said I will find something.
