I bought a brand new DeWalt heater like that, it was nearly $600 a couple of years ago. It worked twice, I returned it and they sent it in and it still wouldn’t work. They offered to give me another or my money back. I took the money! About a month after I was at a farm auction, there was one about 30 years old I bought it for $60 it’s never failed yet!

This one was like $199 at Tractor Supply on sale. Bought the higher BTU unit as my old garage was much draftier. This one will cook you out of my current garage real quick. It should though; I made sure to seal it up good when I enclosed it. Used a good bit of spray foam around the critical points of entry. Still need to insulate it, but my funds have run a little low and other projects are more pressing...

The DeWalt was a high btu one if it would light. I’m using it in a non-insulated barn pointed in the direction I am while working on machinery. The one I got at the auction isn’t as high of btu but it works and runs on diesel which I have plenty of.

This one is pretty old but kerosene is just diesel that’s more refined. You could probably run diesel in any of them. I don’t know that for sure though.

This one will run on Kero, Heating Oil, or Diesel. I typically just use diesel as Kero is $6.99 a gallon around here while offroad diesel is $5.29... It does smell a little bit more with on-road diesel compared to the offroad for some reason. Same stuff (even sulfur rating) just dyed... o_O
