Bedcover Theft

Diamondbacks are pretty secure. If someone wants into your tailgate and you’ve installed the tailgate auto lock then it’s just a matter of smashing a window. But they won’t make off with the Diamondback. Look on Craigslist see if it’s listed, flea markets wtc

 

Can you give more details on how you think they stole it? Was your tailgate locked or did they force it off? If so, was there damage to the truck?

I have a soft roll up one too, similar to the Tiger and wonder what I can be doing to prevent this!

 

The Tyger is not very secure. I bet they just grabbed it and pulled it up. Those clamps in the rear are not very strong.

 

1) Search for your cover on craigslist and market place.
2) Bring a bat.

 

Cool thing is, you can't unlock the Tacoma by smashing the window and pressing the button, at least if it was last locked by the key. Least I'm pretty sure. And you have the alarm going off..

If you have the remote tailgate lock then the tailgate can be unlocked from inside the cab via the unlock button on the driver door. Without that, though, you would need the actual key to unlock the tailgate.
