Does anyone have a clue on what color the backup-light wire is on the 2022 model? "no-jbl"

Also, any idea what the three plugs in the last picture are?
They all came out of the Factory stereo. I am guessing they are GPS and Satellite which I don't need anymore.

One of those black connectors is mostly telematics and factory gps stuff. Not sure about the other black connector. If you could post a pic of it plugged in, that would be helpful so we could see what connector it is

The "joying canbus harness female connector" does not have a pin in that specific spot.

You are correct, the blue wire does have the 12volt signal when the car is put in reverse, but so does the orange "back" wire that comes out of the canbus.

I cut the orange "back" wire and the Backup Cam still comes on as soon as the power is turned on.

Does this seem like a canbus issue to you?

I am not getting any help from Joying. They just quit answering emails.

What Stereos out there besides Joying have features like being able to put on apps like YouTube, Steering wheel controls, and also an integrated DSP?

What stereo is the closest thing to this Joying , that will actually work?

This is one of my pet peeves with all of the Chinese brands that ship with premade harnesses. They do not use standard stereo coloring with their wires so you don’t truly know what is what.

If the radio uses the can-bus for that data, then it may be a can-bus issue. You could do a bit of basic testing to find out for sure.

In most stereo harnesses, there will only be 2 wires with +12v while the key is on and in the vehicle is in park. This will be the main constant 12v wire and the accy 12v wire. The constant 12v should be easy to spot, as it that wire and the main ground wire will be the largest.
With the radio on, Using your meter, start testing every wire going into the radio until you find another one with 12v. Remember that wire, then keep testing to see if you find anymore.

I suspect you will find 3. The main power, the accy power, and the reverse trigger.
Cut one of the smaller ones and see what happens. If the radio turns off, that was probably your accy wire. If the reverse camera turns off, that was your reverse trigger.

steering wheel controls are easy. with a module, just about every stereo on the market has this support.

dsp, in terms of the features that the joying offers, many pioneers and kenwoods will offer something slightly more powerful, alpine and clarion, and jbl might offer them as well, i'm just not as familiar with them.

but the youtube app portion, there were a few 'app radio' models from pioneer that might work, but i really don't know. but it's also going to be naturally more limited-- typical car radio mfg's generally mod the base android system for their functionality, where joying tends to run on top of the base android system, so joying is a little more of an open playground.

Does the radio turn on without the canbus plugged in? A lot of the new cars even some older automatic tacoma radios will use the factory canbus/coms to switch the radio to the back up camera. This is how the new tundras are wired.

If you can turn it on without the canbus you can check to make sure it is using the correct canbus protocol in the settings.

Yeah, I have had it working for awhile now *without the back-up* and I haven't had much time to troubleshoot it. It works without the backup cam if I unplug one of the connections, but it also does away with several other car info options.

I tried all of the Toyota ones and figured other makes of cars would be totally different on the canbus settings. I will try some of the other brands of cars and see what happens today. I had to run out and buy some wire-nuts so that I don't fry anything. *fingers crossed*

I like the Joying radio enough to where I may use a manual toggle switch for the factory backup cam, a 3rd party backup cam, or even a "rear view mirror screen cam".

The Joying does have a video-in port, so maybe I can use that with a 3rd party cam. IDK

I just don't care for the driving restrictions on most radios.

I did see a device that hacks the car-play for the factory radio, so that is an option.
