Been debating getting rid of the stocker Toyo A30. Mainly cuz winter is coming and Ive read reviews that they are horrible in snow/ice. Have less than 2k miles on them, but skittish about running them over the winter.

Stumbled across this deal on Amazon tonight and couldnt pass it up. $168ish per tire. Normally $226.

Not sure if these tires come up on sale alot or not, but I thought it looked pretty good and wanted to share.

FWIW, I did check a few other sizes (265/70/17, etc) and they looked to be regular price. :(

Nice up here in Canada, Canadian tire usually has a good sale a few times a year on the Good year Duratrac. Where we buy all of our work tires matched their price so I just ordered 265 75 16 for 1100cdn pretty happy it was close to 1600 not on sale. Should be here Mon or Tues

Good price. Hopefully they are round. I bought a set of 285's off Amazon like 3 years ago from a second party seller. Fantastic price but it turned out to be a nightmare as only one of them balanced somewhat reasonably. Seller would do nothing. Wound up getting them warrantied through Falken but it took about 8 months to actually get a refund.

I hear ya, felt weird going thru Amazon. Not sure I really trust it. I checked the seller and it just says its sold by Amazon...no company. Dont know if thats a good or bad thing.
Well, either they sold out of the deal or it was just a one day thing, cuz they are back at full price today.
Ill keep my fingers crossed that they are legit.

I've been running them for a little over a year now. They definitely are pretty decent tires. Great on wet roads. Had them while driving on some slushy roads in Oregon during the winter and never had any problems. Not as good as studs of course, but still way better than the bfgs i had on before.

Don't know alot about Falken, but you read correctly, I'm in NH and can confirm those stock Toyo's are trash in the snow, was planning to replace them on my sport before this winter.

If it's actually Amazon you'll be fine. My seller kept asking for a picture of the problem. A picture of the balancer calling for LOTS of weight and the video showing how out of round they were wasn't sufficient apparently.

I got a smoking deal like that on some N-fab steps for my 5th gen 4Runner from amazon. Like $125 for the pair. Next day they were like $400 or something. odd.

I wonder if a place that does price matching like Tire Rack would match a price like that? I know they are back to regular price but would be good to know for next time.
It’s a good thing to do the “price alert” thing on Amazon for stuff you need but not right away, I’ve saved up to 40% on stuff

Go to “deal alert” in “My account” and set an alert for whatever it is your interested in, when the price drops you’ll get a notification. It will also send you an alert for similar items

I just discovered it a few months ago when I was shopping for a solar panel, got like 35% off. You gotta buy quick because they only allot a certain amount for the deal

I've had two friends buy tires off Amazon and got screwed when they couldn't be balanced. One bought Nokians, and when he took them to a Nokian dealer, Nokian corporate got involved, said they don't authorize sales through Amazon, and had no record of the tires he bought- so apparently they were not real Nokian tires. Another had an issue with Wildpeaks not balancing, and again- no support.

Best of luck, but after seeing the trouble they went through, I'll keep buying my tires from local shops I trust or tirerack.

If you're wondering how they handle wet roads I'm here to tell you they're great! I live in so cal. Right now we've got a pretty good down pour going on. I just drove the last hour on surface roads and on the fwy. Purposely punching it around a few corners (no cars on the road). They really grab the pavement! I imagine it's all the siping on them that's responsible for that. I'm actually pretty impressed with them today. Haha!!
