As the title suggests, what are your plans for Thanksgiving? Share any plans you want. This includes Tacoma and non-Tacoma share outs.

We got started a little early on our prep this year. We snagged a 17lb turkey and got some clear frying oil from Sams Club. I deep fry a turkey every year. They’re sooooo good that way. Most likely will be spending Thanksgiving with my wife’s family. I’m ready for the meat sweats!!!

Tacoma related, I’ll be going to the dealership for the first year oil change and multi-point inspection. I’m also going to mention a defect from my driver’s seat that I’ve discussed on other threads.

If all goes well, my wife and I will be moving into our new house that week.

Same as every year, driving hundreds of miles seeing various family and friends over a few days. 6 Thanksgivings over 5 days.

All good fun and good times, but it goes by way too fast and very little rest time. Before you know it, back to work.

    Deep fried is overrated.

Spatchcocked, brown sugar dry rub, and applewood smoke over medium is the superior juicy bird.

Shoot. As long as it’s good, that’s all that matters. Deep fried, smoked, oven bags. The only thing that matters is that at the end of the meal you’re so stuffed it takes an act of God to get you out of the recliner.

I think smoked is the way to go! But at the end of the day I'm really just in it for the sides and dessert. Probably do friends giving as per usual or work, rarely see the fam on the holidays unfortunately.

it is indeed, thank you. We moved from northern CA to KY in August, been trying to get a new place here for a couple months now. Almost had one, then it fell through literally at the last minute when the appraisal came in way below the listed sale price. So now we're very close on this current place, supposed to close escrow this Friday.

We’ve already had our shakedown “Friendsgiving” a few weeks ago, for the main event my wife and daughters will head to her parents in CT, then Thursday am I’ll drive down w/my parents. Normally not bad but 6+ hrs in the car with argumentative/perpetually grumpy parents gets old so fast…
