Anyone with information about these? They cost $200 (Canadian) more than the MaxTrax MKII version.

    Thanks for any info!

The difference is molded in plastic vs replaceable metal teeth. Otherwise they're the same. Doesn't really seem worth $200 to me...

Looks like they tweaked the design a little in their extreme version. Maybe a year ago I think they still had bolts with nuts on the topside. Probably just using some new special design nuts on top now.

They used to have an FAQ that if the regular version nylon teeth got burned up from wheel spin you can drill out the tooth, and install regular 1/4” hex bolts. Which made it the same as the extreme version of the time. I don’t remember the length they noted, but it had probably 1/4”threads exposed beyond the nut. That included an extra disclaimer that any wheel spin will tear up the tires once converted to the extreme version.

    Edit:
    Disregard above statement about MaxTrax

I was mixing up with the US based ActionTrax. Those are the ones that state to repair with bolts. Not sure if MaxTrax extreme boards have any difference in the molding.
    Thanks for the reminder @3JOH22A

Side note I have the cheaper ActionTrax version, and it has worked great for me.

They have replaceable aluminum teeth installed with a torx bit: https://www.maxtrax.com.au/xtreme-replacement-teeth-set

Might be easier on the tires than stainless bolts (which are still used on the US-based ActionTrax boards selling for about the same price).
