    No money, all went to truck...
    ahh man. I love that 4runner. Mine was a 97 too. at the time I couldn't afford the cost of dealing with oil leaks and other maintenance issues that were coming up. Congrats on still owning it after all those years... Love it.

    I enjoy reading threads like this as I wait for my truck to come in(going on 3.5 months). There is certainly a good number of folks that complain about the transmission and I too haven't noticed it when I've test drove a 2020 and a 2021. I'm super excited about getting my truck.... first new truck purchase for me and I'm 50yo. ;)

    Agreed. I got my 2022 recently and I kept telling my son “where are all the problems people complain about on tacoma world.. the truck shifts fine, is quick enough and somehow I’m very comfortable in this seat”…
