I have owned Toyotas since 1970 when I purchased a brand new Land Cruiser for $3200 at my local Toyota dealer in Pomona, California. Since then I have owned a few Toyota trucks. My latest truck is a 2005 Tacoma 2.7 / 5 speed access cab. I purchased the truck from the original 85 year old owner. The truck has 122,000 original miles. I just replaced the coolant by-pass tube with the metal replacement tube from Toyota. While the tube it's self was only $50 the labor was $590. The intake manifold had to be removed. The truck is so quiet and smooth it is a joy to drive. My first Toyota pickup was a brand new 1975 5 speed. I've also owned a 1987 extra cab long bed which was a 4 cylinder automatic with overdrive. I towed a tent trailer with this truck. I also own a 2022 Venza and 2008 V6 RAV 4. The Venza gives us 48 mpg on our trip to Washington State the first month we owned it. It has over 12,000 miles now and get 36.8 mpg around town. The RAV 4 gets 22 mpg around town. I love the V6 with 269 horsepower. I'm 72 years old and into VW Beetles also. At present I own a Cal Look 1967 Bug with a 1776 Dual Weber engine.

Beautiful bug. I had a newer model bug with the same exact color. I also had a 1979 VW Bus Deluxe with A/C. (Very rare) Sold it to one of my neighborhood buddies who is old Surf Dude.
He's in Bus Heaven. Sold in part because it needed additional work beyond my skill set and because I had just purchased a new (2018) Tesla Model 3 and had "sticker shock"

1965? My first vehicle was a 1965 VW bug, white. Stupid kid, I sucked a valve and sold it instead of having it repaired.
