I ditched my factory ones at 20,004 miles. They were ok, but was starting to loose traction in inclement weather. Threw a new set on here before winter. I gave the old tires away to a member on here, so they'll run them to the bars and then some

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
My tire dealer if you bought the tires from them . A $10.00 flat repair remove the tire and patch the life of the tire.

To many failed attempted plug repairs over the years.

I worked for one employer as long as the tire held air it was run.

    I find that odd.

Been plugging tires for 30 years. I can't remember any plugs that didn't hold.

In the winter it took at least 20 miles for those tires to become almost round again.

Talk about shaking and bouncing down the road.

Really? I've probably plugged 20 or 30 tires and never had one leak. I think it's pretty common, but I use contact cement to lube the plug. :notsure:

Where you doing just small vehicles like cars and pick ups??

If it was a tire they serviced them all just became a policy to patch them all to not confuse the techs.

Same here, been watching dad plug tires since I can remember. If the plug will stay, I'll run it as long as it's not in the sidewall

Another thing a failed plug resulted in a service call to the vehicle or a call subcontracted if the vehicle was more then 100 miles away.

After a few service calls at the dealers expense it was decided to just patch all flat repairs this policy started in the mid seventies . This policy might have only been on the tires sold by them.

A flat repair on the Ford F550 a few years ago was like 50.00 inside rear tire.

New poll*. I understand every situation is different, if it's a simple nail or screw, I'm plugging it and forgetting about it. If it's anything to do with the sidewall, it's going into mulch.

*The poll is meant for the simple stuff, not the over complicated thing that only happens to other people and causes multiple vehicle accidents.

I've even got free tire repair warranties on my tires and I still plug my tires.
