Name is Brian. Retired SSG 2012

I'm sure there are lots of you Tacoma owners familiar with that lol. 2003 Tacoma SR5 Prerunner TRD. 3.4L 225000 and loved everyday since he came into the family 6 yrs ago and we still be here with the wife and Greyson my son when I have faded to the wind. Til Valhalla!!! I must say that this is by far the most dependable vehicle I have owned. I do use the truck for some normal everyday task but there is no abuse. I don't take it off road through the mud rocks water and all the fun stuff these Mnts offer but if I did it would surely go the distance against all these Ford and Chevy trucks with their big tires and loud exhaust but hey each to his own right?? I'm running Cooper Discovery LTX 3 285 75 16 ON 2008 FJ Cruiser Brushed Aluminum wheels. They have the right amount of backspace so I had no kinda of modifications to do. No grinding cutting or anything like that. I do have a 1" leveling block under the rear leafs but nothing else. Just replaced leafs, shocks in rear new front wheel bearings new hubs all ball joints new tie rod ends new springs and struts with the new tires. All done myself except the alignment of course, cant really shade tree that. Not really working under the shade tree actually was blessed with a 2 car garage with our house. Thankful for that one lol. I will post some pics a little later on of the boy. Hes not new but he is loved and taken care of. Oil changes are done religiously 3000 to 5000 miles and never past that. All fluids are changed if not by mileage intervals then by my deciding its time and that seems like maybe I go a little overboard but I like to keep everything mechanically perfect. I love my truck, what can I say, lol you all understand that, right????? Lol
There are a cpl questions I have. Nothing major pretty straight forward. As I was saying before I just replaced the 2 front wheel bearings. You know remove the steering knuckle and press the bearing out and in reassemble that whole project. Anyway the passenger side still has about an ⅛ inch movement vertically. The truck feels like it wants to walk or sway whatever term you guys might be familiar with. Would it be a well educated guess that I might have gotten a bad wheel bearing and I need to replace the bearing again. I just did the bearings this past weekend so it was an almost instant failure of the of the bearings integrity. The driver side is great no issues. Also if anyone knows of where I might could find the skid plates for 1st Gen Tacoma that would be great as well. They weren't on the truck when I purchased it. Gentlemen said they were left off when it was being serviced and never have been on since. Again nice to meet you guys on gals on here. Thanks for the add and we will talk soon. Black 6 out!!!
