    Greetings,
I have a 88' tacoma with fuel issues, not getting fuel. I have replaced the fuel tank, and fuel tank rail and all components inside tank. No gas. Had auto electrician look at it, he replaced by then end, everything electrically involved in fuel flow in front end, no gas. He indicated the problem has to be with ECU, removed ECU and had it shipped to Iowa Co. for remanufacturing, came back, no gas! Anybody have any ideas, before I take my 12 lb. sledge to help fix it for good! Thanks in advance, and have a good day!

fuel pump replaced? It's on top of the tank but I assume it was if you replaced the tank itself

Fuel filter too? I believe its in the engine bay on the 2.7s

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along

Be good to know just what was changed and tested by the auto electrician sounds like the parts cannon was fired hoping to get lucky rather then finding the issue.

At this point your back to the start to really trouble shooting and find the problem. So many new and unknown parts added to the problem. Paying labor to trouble shoot this could be an easy 8 hours plus.

All it takes is one open circuit could be a broken wire, poor connection, bent pin or new failed part .

Your best option is get yourself a copy of the Toyota Electrical Wiring Diagrams for your truck and a multi meter and work through all the fuel related circuits and all the added parts and all the connections that were pulled apart.

Some lessons are very expensive to learn. You had a problem now you have a mess.

If you were close I would be glad to help

    Best of luck

I would check all of the ground wires.
Can you use a power probe to confirm that the fuel pump is functioning properly?
