Head unit not reading map

I put a newer toyota map card in about 18 months ago. Recently started getting this message pretty regularly. Usually restarting the truck will fix it. Any ideas on an easy fix? Have a road trip coming up in 10 days and would like to have it 100% functional.

 

Take it out and blow on it like a NES game?

 

You try putting the old one back in?

 

Mine did that, I bought a new map card off Amazon and no problem since.

 

Same problem with an updated card. Lasted probably 16-18 months and the first thing I noticed was the voice guidance wasn’t working. Then started getting the message that you pictured. Dealer did an update on the head unit. Still had the same issue. So I put the original SD card back in and works fine except the maps are not updated.

 

This was an Amazon replacement card. Maybe they get corrupted after a while. I had the dealer do the update already. No dice. So I ordered a newer updated sd card. I'm going to be driving through DFW and Houston for the first time so curren maps are needed. Maybe just have to replace the non oem ones regularly.

 

Just wanted to follow up and say that the new map card from Amazon has fixed the issue!
