I just installed this and had a few questions.

At the end of the rails there is a thin adhesive pad. Is this meant to stay on or was it to protect during shipment? One had come loose during shipping so I installed without it. Is this gonna cause leaks?

Did I not move the rails forward enough here? Even if I did, without any weather strip I don't see how it won't leak

I just recently installed a Bakflip G2 and I have those same little gaps at the front of the bed. Also have two small gaps on either side of the tailgate. I have the LED bed lights and when I open my truck door at night I can see light through there. I don't think you installed it wrong.

I will say it has rained here the last couple days and I haven't gotten any water in the bed from rain alone. That's not to say that a horizontal stream of water (like a car wash) won't get in.

You’re supposed to remove that pad

I’m hoping those gaps is where the water will drain into the tubes. Haven’t been in rain yet but we’ll see.
