3rd Gen Entune Head Unit Data Output

I am looking for a definitive answer as to exactly what center display data is generated by the non-JBL HU on my TRD OR 4x4 (I am pretty sure all the MPG and audio data comes from it but not 100% sure what else is). I have searched this site and can't really find anything. Am asking so I will know what I will lose if I change out the HU for an aftermarket unit w/o Maestro RR. I guess i might be able to just disconnect the HU, power it up and see what info is missing but I am not sure what side effects that would cause.

 

With the maestro you will retain the fuel mileage and audio info but lose the navigation. As for a head unit without the maestro I can’t attest, the android based headunits seem to retain those features as well, but I’d imagine a basic non-android headunit would lose that data along with your steering wheel control integration.

 

Thanks I knew that kind of stuff. I was just looking for what exactly the entune HU outputs to the center display.

 

I believe that is all that it outputs to the center console… the turn by turn navigation. The fuel mileage it picks up from canbus so all you would lose is the “historic” fuel mileage reports.
