Remove coilover, remove both C clips, prop coilover on a 2x4, find correct size socket, hammer out bearing. Drink a beer. Hammer in new bearing, put C clips back in, reinstall coilover. Drink a beer.

Do the same thing for the other side.

    Celebrate by drinking another beer.

Unfortunately I've been way too busy, haven't gotten to this yet. Living in the NorthEast mine are in pretty rough shape rust-wise. Im anticipating possibly needing to use the shop press. Seems like it should be an easy enough job though if you dont live in a state that uses road salt and calcium chloride like its going out of style

Been working on replacing my bearings for a couple weeks now and have been struggling with corrosion. The LCA bolt seized to the spacers and would free spin but not move. The solution was to cut the forward sleeve on the LCA, seized too, and drop the whole thing between the axle and steering arm, then cut the bolt. Bought the 303 bolt/bearing kit so good there. But, damaged the rod end in the process and having a lot of trouble removing the circlips to push the bearing.

Does anyone know the rod end part number to replace with? Needless to say everything is going back together with anti-seize!!!

How is the rod end damaged? That's a tricky part to replace without shaft clamps and a good spring compressor.

Damage is cosmetic but the bearing is sized in the eye in the passenger side, driver’s side still has a portion of the bolt and spacers from where I had to cut them out. The circlips are now captive by the bolt/spacer combination.

Didn’t realize the rod end was so difficult to replace.

Get some picks and small flat head screwdrivers, with some work you can usually get the C-clips out even with the spacers rusted in.

Yup. Heat, penetrating oil, and picks you can get it out

Once both clips are out I think you should be able to press the entire thing out, bolt and all. Could be wrong but as I recall the spherical bearing is the largest diameter
