What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

How'd it go? I bought one and the gorilla's at the dealership overtightened the filter housing so I couldn't unscrew the filter.

 

Was told by the service department the engine has a defective rod bearing. Been in the shop for 16 days they say it should be ready to roll the end of next week.

 

ooh nice, having a compass on the mirror makes me feel like i'm back in my chevy, without the agony of the door that comes off its welds and the worlds largest radio seek and tune buttons

 

Picked up my front bumper and installed it. I'm going to make some reinforcing welds in a few spots this weekend.

 

good luck took me two days and a couple band aids to do mine, those doors can get sharp on the inside.

 

I ate my lunch off those buttons some days

 

Is this a plug & play situation?

 

Does anyone know if the TPMS sensors on my 22 Tacoma sr5, will be compatible with the TRD rims? Simple switch over or will I need different ones or reprogramming? (part #

They should be fine if your SR5 Wheels are Alloy. I switched mine from my OEM Off-Road Alloy Wheels to those same TRD wheels and all is good.

For me yes. I had a power mirror already, so it was literally remove screw, remove plug, swap mirrors, plug, screw.

 

I’m only at 2k miles. I plan to do my first change around 5k so I still have a ways to go. I have heard they tighten the hell out of them from the dealer….main reason I won’t let them touch mine. I also have the metal one in my cart on Amazon so if I break the plastic one, I’ll change to that one.
