    Hi all,

My old skid setup involved a transmission/mid skid plate that tied into the front skid plate, near the factory jack location. I just installed a new front bumper, which removes the need for a front skid plate. However, this now leaves the transmission/mid skid plate "floating", with no method to secure the side closest to the front bumper.

Does anyone know of an aftermarket transmission skid plate that will work with a front bumper tied into the tabs below the radiator? The skid would need to bolt to the truck, and not rely on attaching to a front skid plate. Ironman 4x4 makes a skid that works perfectly, but they do not sell this singular skid separately....

It looks like your bumper includes a front skid. AFAIK, most do not do that. You might want to change your thread title to make your question more clear. Also I suggest contacting the bumper manufacturer and asking them what mid skids are compatible.

After looking at their bumpers on Instagram they look to be neatly made but were designed for pre runners and aren’t really designed to work with a rear engine skid plate. These replace the cheap sheet metal skid plate but doesn’t offer the same protection as the off-road rear portion or the TRD pro style skid plate. You could potentially run an rci trans skid but it would still leave the area underneath the motor exposed.
