That’s odd. I wonder if the distance is due to the level of the cap? Is there foam or some type of sealing material that lifts that up slightly….because we have the same cap.

i have those too, I purchased all my accessories for my Tacoma, before my truck came and when it did i spent a week straight putting stuff on it. got rid of all the chrome in my interior too. even the little piece below the shift knob.

 

i presently pay $ 6 a month for a year subscription, when the time comes to renew i am going to argue the price or dump the service.

 

How much did that run you to buy OEM, was it plug and play?

 

I got mine about 2 1/2 years ago for around $1300. You will need a conversion harness, but yes with that, plug and play

That’s pretty hefty price to pay for not having control over what plays next imo. I get that some people are really into VJs, but I don’t need or want on air personalities yaking in between songs. Streaming services are priced comparably, allow downloading of music, have bigger catalogs and on demand listening. No comparison for me

 

I like the actual look of that way more than I would have thought if someone had told me they had done it..

 

I’m Hip on what you’re saying, I listen to more than just the music channels though.
I enjoy having it.

I installed a set of Gate King Ratcheting Multi Position Pickup Truck Tailgate Adjusters. Like others had pointed out, the little tab that resets the spring were rubbing against the upper arm of the bracket. A little grinding with the Dremel got it to where they just clear it, so no more rubbing! I feel I got a pretty decent deal on them. I found them on ebay for $99.99. The seller is Midwest Aftermarket. I tried twice to make an offer, 1st for $90 and then for $93. Neither offer was ever acknowledged and expired after 24 hours. I contacted the seller through ebay to ask if they did accept offers and was told to call them directly. I did and without any negotiations got them for $89 shipped! The ebay add says the box is damaged but the parts are intact and all parts are included. I questioned this when I spoke to their rep and she said they had a large box that had been damaged in transit, which resulted in the individual boxes being damaged. I receive the brackets in 2 days and the only damage I sat was some surface scratches to the box! Everything inside was in perfect condition! So, I kinda feel saving $199 is a pretty decent deal!

 

That’s totally fair! I hadn’t thought about it but I’m sure they have exclusive content that makes it worthwhile for you. I bet the integration into the stock head unit is pretty cool too

Thanks. The LiveOne app is actually Slacker Radio. That’s another payment of 15.00 a year for no commercials and unlimited forward Skips haha! You can build your own channels.

The Now Playing app takes over my ITunes account which is run through the Kaiser equalizer app that has my complete iTunes library and has great sound.

I’ve used WD-40 before with some decent results. But of course WD-40 is a lubricant, which brings us back to big oil…. What have I done?!
