Hello - quick question for those who have a Dakar Leaf Pack installed.

I just installed a non add a leaf pack on my 2002 double cab. The springs were EL122RA and EL122RB. I'm aware they are 'side' specific with the A pack on the drivers side and the B pack on the passenger side. Is this true and is there really much of a difference here?

I ask because my B spring was marked '+' or positive while my A spring was marked 'O' or neutral. From my readings I installed the + spring on my drivers side to account for driver weight and fuel tank.

At the moment the passenger side looks to be slightly higher than the drivers side - so again curious if there's a real difference between the A and the B side or if still best to use the +/o/- values on the springs. Yes these will settle in time and there may always be some imbalance - just trying to see the best way to have these arranged.

    Thank you.

Via my continued research it's looking like yes they are very side specific - so I'll be having some leaf spring swapping in my near future...

Did you torque the leaf packs with the weight of the truck on the springs?

Keep in mind that once you torque the u bolts down, you can't reuse them.
