This was the first noticeable peeling, and what prompted me to wrap thenpillar between the windows. 99.9% of people don't even notice it is wrapped and other 2nd gens aren't.

My boys helped me change my “perfectly good tail lights” to a $60 pair or replacements because I have reason to believe my po705 code could have been caused by moisture in my last tail lights when I aggressively power washed into them from underneath.

I didn't have time. I'll get to it before summer. Also want to try that spray which pulls iron out of the paint. I've run my metal disc sander near the truck too many times, might be what is going on. And better soap, that Costco stuff is no bueno.

Thought I was going to get a half-day of work in- nope! Got everything ready and loaded up just to find that 'ole Fodo wouldn't start. Click. Click. I knew my starter was on it's way out, so I decided to 'switch gears'. Painstakingly searched for my jack to find that it needs servicing, found another jack but it didn't work, found (and tested) another jack it works brought it back to the truck. 12mm takes off brake line mounts... Okay, I have two sets of metric sockets and extra 10 12 and 14s... I can't find a single 12 even after organizing my tools. I had to get through rebuilding the starter without a 12mm socket (insert wrench), but I did it. 5 hours on my knees... Because my work tables are covered in projects. Clearly I need to get my shit together. But the truck starts right up. Now to order new parts so I can do it all again in a week or so.

Reason for failure: water got past failed seals in starter, contactor switch covered in corrosion as well one of four brushes was worn all the way down, possibly due to rust. Half the bearings on their way out. Note that some of these bearings are $30 each, but instead the complete sub-assemblies can be bought for around the same price. Let's hope I can bolt up some reliability before I make the trip form Cali to Oregon for Thanksgiving

Success on the ECGS bushing and rebuild of my CV axle.

Was hoping that a new/rebuilt CV axle would solve my front end bouncing like a mofo when doing about 60-65mph. But not the case. Back to the drawing board. I replaced damn near everything suspension wise.

Sway bar links, tie rod ends, sway bar bushings, upper control arms, shocks front and back, now CV axle, ECGS bushing.

The only thing I haven't done is the LCA and inner tie rod. So frustrating.

    Edited: to add new shocks

Oh yeah replaced those too. Bilstein 5100's like 6 months ago maybe a little more.

I'm now leaning towards my previous owners wheel and tire selection. Lol

    Just some stuff...
I had some Mickey Thompson tires a while back that America's tire couldn't balance if their life depended on it. Random thick spots. Had to road force them. Even that wasn't that great. Would get the meanest shudder like braking with severely warped rotors. Played hell with the front end.

Yeah I might have to invest in a whole new Wheel and tire set.

I had a set of Pro Comp wheels with BFG A/T’s mounted that would not stay balanced. Maybe have them balanced again and swap front to back and see if there’s any difference.

I had a similar experience, chasing down a seemingly unexplainable wobble. Turned out all along I had a faulty tire from the manufacturer that the place I bought them from hid. When I bought the set they apparently hid the in ability to get it to balance by designating it as my spare (full size spare with matching rim). Drove off with no wobble. When it was time i did a 5 tire rotation moving my spare into the rotation and the wobble began. Next rotation it was still there, and so on as it moved positions each rotation. It wasn't until I went to a different place for a road force balance they informed me how much weight they had to add to that tire in one spot to get it to balance. No wobble since and it's now been designated as my spare.

Just installed a gifted cold air intake and realized the vacuum hose is no good, anybody know if running the engine without that hose attached to the cai would cause any problems if I drove down to the store to grab a new one?
