My AC compressor clutch took a crap after 15 years so I decided to do some other maintenance items yesterday while I had the front end apart.

3 idler pulleys, belt tensioner, serpentine belt, alternator that was starting to make aggressive noise, AC condenser, & compressor clutch.

The road force balance was the cheapest mod possible in comparison to all the stuff I did chasing it down. Most frustrating part is I kept going back to the shop I bought them to have them rebalanced because of the endless wobble and they never mentioned it. Just swept it under the rug since they were under Warranty.

Ordered a pair of Wheeler's front strut mounts during the 15% discount sale November 11-29, 2022 that will be added to the set of Bilstein 5100s in the inventory a couple weeks ago. Price of the shocks increased 5% during the week from ordering to delivery (FedEx Ground nearly tripped on the stairs with the 12.7 lb. box of rear shocks! I was heading in his direction, so he was happy to make the hand off!). Since these are being shipped UPS Ground, I added another pair of outlet Trail Gear mugs for gifts.
Trail Gear family of companies have sale priced quite a few items... HDPE tailgate table inserts in black, red, or gray are $169, black-white-black at $219 (The appearance is either stunning or jarring, I just can't decide. I still like the gray on Barcelona Red.)

I've had a Compustar on mine now for about 8 years and absolutely love it. Have only had to change the batteries once in that time as well. Start range is phenomenal. I previously had a Viper brand remote start and that thing ate through batteries once a month.

Yeah I think they are chasing weights on mine. I looked behind the rim and there's like 40 weights

I honestly never considered putting one in my Tacoma. My daily suv has factory heated seats and a remote start so I know how nice these can be with winter around the corner. Our Compustar has been great on the wifes car for over 2 years. Bought daughter one, myself one and another one as a gift. Mine is delayed arriving until Monday. Calling tomorrow for BestBuy installation appt. Daughter is getting hers done within 2 weeks. When I saw the member price of $120 I jumped on it. Even at the non-member $229 price, with free installation, it is a great value. I know they are simple plug and play kits but it is nice not having to lift a finger and have them done free and programmed to the factory fobs. Didn't have it on my 3rd gen. Now the only thing I will miss about the 3rd gen is the push button start. Wonder if that is something I could add one day. I am now considering seat heaters to put under my Clazzio seat covers.

Gained some clearance on my front bumper where I always hit it. Cut and bent some of the plate tighter up towards the body. We will see if it works tomorrow on the trail.

Anything you can do to off load some of those weights (I usually leave mine on the trail!) will save you money in the gas tank!!!

Replaced the stock black key fob with one in Quicksand from AJT Design. And washed the Taco (yesterday, actually) thanks to the good folks at Crew Carwash who were giving free ultimate washes to veterans on Veterans Day.

Wow! If you like stock wheels, you can score a set from FB Marketplace or local ads for pretty good deals.

edit: is that 1/2 pound of weights?
