I'm the 4th owner. These are the tools the truck came with.

    Missing the scissor jack.

also I think there should be at lest one more straight rod section with a rounded end that looks like the top of a question mark (?) for lowering the spare tire through the hole above the rear license plate.

As dustin19d mentioned, there's a4th piece that has a hook at one end that attaches to the groove under the truck to lower the spare

My 03 has a bottle jack

Is your 04 a 2wd 5 lug? Unless the PO just put in a scissor jack? All the previous toyota 4wd truck I owned were bottle jack from my 83 pick up to my 2019.

it was a TRD OR and I was the only owner, very brief owner. Rolled it on ice going through the Columbia River Gorge and totaled it after about 18 month of ownership.

I do remember changing the flat tire in the snow on the side of the highway and pulling out a scissor jack from the OEM kit.
it was very annoying because with a flat it wouldn’t fit under the LCA and couldn’t get the tire off the ground using the frame. I had to but the jack on a rock and lift at the frame which almost taco’ed the jack because it was not perfectly level with the ground/truck. I did get it done and drove 105 miles home, but it was definitely a scissor jack.

Either way the OP knows he’s missing the jack.

My 2003 came with a bottle jack and there is even a placeholder for it behind the rear seat in the double cabs.

I have similar tools for mine, but...I added a 4-way lug wrench, 3' piece of 1.25" conduit (cheater bar), and a 4-ton bottle jack. I find I tend to cuss the factory tools when I'm on the side of the road in the rain replacing a tire, I'd I'd prefer not to cuss :)

The little factory one.....I would leave it be.......maybe if a chevy spark needs help....

In fact I'd say for these trucks......they are down right dangerous....
too clumsy....to slow to react..........stupid hook.......sometimes japs make a mistake.....

Extra tall, extra heavy (3ton) scissor run by a 17mm lug socket.....
if dont get good position 1st time......2 seconds to zip back down and reset/ recrib....

The blocks are essential too.......and preferably at least one wheel chocked....
cant believe how many unchocked side of road changes I've seen.....

As far as that lowering rod......oem one is like sometime from WWI....

I made better out steel tube stock smashed at the hoist end....
and then brazed in a 1/2 socket receiver at other end...

Also doesnt hurt to have 4ton bottle from wallmart for $25....
gives you many more options....takes up tiny bit of space....

    Congrats on your purchase...

As others have mentioned, bottle jack, bag and the hook. Part#s below. I would NOT look for the bottle jack at a parts counter. Try the market place, FB marketplace, Craigslist, etc.
