Dude not yet, but that is totally on my list. I’ve seen that adventure taco guy’s write-up on his site. It looks like a must do. So it’s the Honda Odyssey of any year as long as they 90 degree back toward the passenger side?

I ordered them from my local Honda dealership and picked them up there. I think they were about $11 each after tax.

 

That being said, 882s are entirely too tall for trucks without any added weight in the front. Just from personal experience even with a double cab v6 4wd.

Going through the process of replacing the front main and doing a few other things like rebuilding the oil pump and new water pump while in there. Here's the starter bump method for anyone who might be planning the same, super easy worked great.

The guy I bought the taco from said he burned the motor up 70k back and had a "new" put in, no paperwork to back it up but Im guessing he in fact did overheat the motor and these are the remnants from that.
I did a rad flush, about a full week of drain and fill, once with rad flush cleaner which stated good for rust, I have no idea what that is, could have been clay .
I could not get the resivor clean so I bought a new one. once I got it installed I refilled with anti-freeze and finished this weekend and good timing too because we just got 25* temps over night.

one Im certain empty was the trucks weight limit.

 

Best way I've found to clean stuff like that is to throw a handful of nuts, bolts, and washers inside and shake vigorously with your choice of cleaner. I like Fast Orange hand cleaner. I also put mine in with a load of dirty laundry so I don't have to shake it myself

 

Gave up trying to pull this cab corner…. I’ll let the body shop deal with it when they’re freed up. Tossing some paint on it for now to stop rust from forming

 

Picked up my new rear frame rails today, only a a few more tools to buy, some more steel and some Chevy 63s and it will be time to cut the truck in half!!

With lots of help from Big Dan, we replaced a section of brake line today that I damaged when I was in Moab last week. Thanks for the help with this Dan. @drr




Had to modify the fitting bracket that goes to the passenger side brake caliper so the brake line could be routed away from the header collector.

No. The issue is inner support seems to be weaker than the bend. It’s just deforming before the metal moves

Heard a knocking on my drive home the other night, got scared, turns out I just had a spark plug back out.
Still need to chase the threads in the head and get a new plug back in

 

It looks like the brake line got smacked by the header collector. The brake line was between the header and the dipstick tube.

 

Been working on a 5VZFE out of ‘02 4Runner from a Pull-A-Part for this blown-up S-Runner I got for the past couple months ago. It’s been a drag waiting/picking up parts. But the engine is almost ready to get mounted.

If I could of started over, I would of started with the intent to do a head gasket job and pre ordering parts versus thinking I can a quickly slap this engine in doing the least. I found out after changing the valve cover gasket that a spark plug was broken for cylinder 4 had to remove the head to extract it.

Doesn’t help that my brother has his projects stagnant inside our garage with the engine stands. Where I’m outside in a car port working on my engine w/ a chain hoist and tire on a dolly.

But I’ve changed the clutch/flywheel, u joints, front & rear main seals, head gaskets, valve cover/tube seals, exhaust flange seals, spark plugs, knock sensor wire, oil cooler seals, and water pump weeks prior. I just finally put the timing and accessory belt on tonight. Hoping to get this dog running this week, but realistically it’ll probably be next week.
