Hello! An introduction.

Well hello everyone, my name is Jon. I just recently moved from South Texas where I have lived my whole life to North Pennsylvania. This is my first experience with snow so it is the main object of my future modifications. I am the proud owner of a 2004 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner SR5 Extended Cab. I have owned this truck for over a year now but my family history with Toyota trucks goes all the way back till 85 when my Unlce purchesed a new Toyota truck, extended cab, 2wd, 22r, 5 speed, and it came factory with a fiberglass cap! My father now drives the truck and has well north of 350k miles. The stories of the truck were the main inspiration for me buy my own Toyota when it came time!

It currently runs 265/75/16 BFG Rugged Trails but it will be updated with new rubber soon.

First and foremost it will be getting a 4wd conversion and upgraded suspension. I will not be using this as rock crawler or mud beast but more of an expedition / overland platform, so my modifications will be minimal and have a true purpose. I will be using IFS for ride comfort and ease of daily use. As it is an expedition / daily driver I will be installing a fiberglass cap, new seats, a dual battery system, ARB Bumper, ARB Snorkel, and possibly a Roof Top Tent when the time comes!

so sorry to hear you moved out of Texas. MY wife has been trying to get me to move to New Hampshire for about 5 years now. She says Texas is to hot for her. She was born here!!!

I lived in Brazoria county, about an hour south of Houston. Most of my 4wheeling was done on the beaches and out around the edges of thde bays. I will be back in Texas within a few years, but untill then I have to deal with the snow and lack of knowing where to wheel and buddys to help with modifications! PA people hit me up!
