...aaaand of course they don't make the ATX in my size: 265/65R17 -- he says they have it in the APT but I don't know anything about that one, and it is an older design. :-(

I can confirm all of this. I’ve had mine for about 14K miles and absolutely love them.

Thank you for your business and support. We are glad to hear you invested in our Certificate program, it certainly opens the doors for our stores to do some neat things.

As far as replacement options, if the general tires worked well for you and it sounds like you liked them, we would consider going to the ATX as they are a very close design. If you want to try a different option and the store is able to get you into something else, we would toss out the Falken AT3w as a solid choice as well.

Thinking of going this route: https://www.discounttire.com/buy-tires/toyo-tire-open-country-a-t-iii but disappointed that the sidewall is only 2-ply and no OWL available. But everything else specs out good and the tread design seems aggressive enough.

Just an ever so slight kiss on the front OEM mud flaps at full lock so I took them off. Clears my cab mounts 100% so no cmc required.
Ordered Rokblokz which are thinner and over all better mud flaps so I won't have any issues.

I've had mine for about 10k and I love everything about them except the weight/mpg hit. Waaaaaaaay better than the BFG KO2s.

So apparently they DO have them in 265/65R17 just not in the computer. I'm having a set sent to my local Dis count Tire store. I could've gone /70 but why mess with slightly slower odo and not matching the spare..

EDIT: sure hate the stupid auto-URL link crap this forum software does, is there a way to turn that crap off?

Picking up a small travel trailer this Dec. The stock GY tires had worn great for me, not what I would call an off road tire but still good enough for my use. Been looking for replacement tires for awhile and wanted to stick with the OEM spec's, Looked at the 265/75-16 Grabber ATx's but, E load range just seemed way over kill for my needs.

The 1 inch gain in height and the mega 10 ply construction on the E rated would have made the Tacoma ride like a tank, Ive put 10 ply KO's on small SUV's and they are mini tanks when installed. tire weight on theGrabber SL's, 39LB and the E load range, are 54LB compared to the Good year OEM wranglers, 37LB. Hope they wear as good as the OEM tires.

Discount tire ordered them and installed them. Strange they don't sell them on the web page direct, or local. I mentioned the Discount tire rep on this site to the sales guy and he started calling his source, quoted me a price, I then asked if they price matched and he did. So far, seems like a good install, great service.
