    Hey guys, new here.

I just got some new wheels/tires on my 17 TRD Sport. What I saw/heard many times before was I could go with 265/70/17 on the stock suspension. I got my wheels and love the look. Problem is RUB. I took off the mudflaps. Took off instead of trimming the air dam. I'm still rubbing in a couple other spots.
I went with a -18 offset wheel. I'm assuming that's my problem. It doesn't stick out that far, but guessing that's why I'm still rubbing.
Questions: Do I just keep trimming off the spots that are rubbing?
Since I'm not against a level or lift, what is recommended? I want to do at least a level at some point, just haven't looked into it and haven't found places near me to get one done. I am thinking a level with at least 2 in in front will get rid of my issue since it's not rubbing by much. It's just a matter of when and where I can get that done.

    Where is it specifically rubbing?

And is this in normal driving, flexing gutters, hard turns, etc.

    Details matter.

New to this......lol Used to stock wheels/tires on vehicles.
It's rubbing on the fender liner in the wheel wells. It's at a certain angle while turning. Just a little before and after that spot it's ok. I figure someone on here has done the same thing I have with size tire and wheel offset

Inside of back side wheel well?

Turning on flat ground? As in turning driving through a gutter or over a curb would be worse?

Do you have the spec sheet from your last alignment? Sometimes more caster can solve that.

Sometimes a cab mount chop is required if that's the area rubbing.

Pretty doubtful a lift will fix it. Wheel specs play a much bigger role in tire clearance.

265/70’s shouldn’t rub. Ran them with stock wheels.

It is with this wheel. The stock wheels had a taller but 1 inch skinnier tire and didn't rub. I just found a vid of someone with a similar looking poke that rubbed in the same spots mine is. Fixed with a heat gun. I may try that.

Unbolt the liner on the front bumper (10mm hex heads), then pull the liner forwards, and run the screw though a virgin part of the liner to hold it in place.

Its not hitting the cab mount....just the plastic near it on the fender liner. Its not a huge spot it rubs but just the right angle turning and it does. Same on the front part of the liner.

And yes its a bit worse when i hit a dip at that turn angle which makes sense.

Increase your caster! Generally needs to be above 2 for it not to rub. Before my alignment, my drivers side with 265/70/17 rubbed the inside mudguard but was only like 1.2 caster....
