A little (I really meant to say ALOT of) transformation will be happening here. I'm re-doing the front towers by making the towers taller to bring the the truck down a bit. I have 12" towers currently on the truck, I will be cutting them off and putting in the 18". But once I notch the 18" it'll be more like a ~16" towers instead. This taller tower will bring the truck down ~2" and I can crank more preload to the CO. But I will notch the 18" towers slightly different than the current 12" Artec so I can run a 1 piece Borgeson telescoping steering shaft from the steering box to steering wheel vs the current lazy designed 2 piece that have destroyed the firewall seal because of the angle. I will be moving the drag link 7/8" heim above the steering arm to keep it aline with the panhard as well. Plus, I need to weld the RJ antirock swaybar to the rear frame and reroute my exhaust again because of the swaybar. God damn it, I just finished my exhaust piping 2 months ago! Grrrrr, there is no END in sight! This SH1T never end. When you think you're done, you end up modifying it or something else break.... :angrygirl:

I'm hopeful that all this can be done within a week between work and family :fingerscrossed: so I can play in the snow since there's finally 3~4 feet of fresh powder on the hills.

    @Kwikvette is bald open? :anonymous:

So, you're basically starting over??:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

I wish I would have seen that upper link frame mount before I made my xmember. That thing is slick! 4wu has some really nice designs and then some things that don't make a ton of sense.

I have 2 of those borgeson joint things. One by firewall and another by gear. I think. lol. Can't even remember now. Got some sweet brake lines in today. Mounting brackets come tomorrow hopefullly. Supposedly "formula 1 tech" Haha. Ill take dirt oval tech.

yep. I’m cheap. For $120 it didn’t make sense to make. Just gonna make the axle mount my own w a little flap disc action. Flap disc tagged me the other day. Sucks. This finger gets the worst abuse for some reason.

Yeah this is my current situation tonight too. My wife has become accustomed to barnyard fixes at this point

Also, I have the same kit for the same reasons. It’s been about 8 years now!

Just came across this thread. Dubbing it the 'final boss tacoma'. Whole lotta bad ideas that just make sense. Keep up the rad work.

lol. That dash gives me any gauge I want in a shit ton of different layouts. Any sensor I have on truck can pull up as a gauge. I could put my ass temp on there if I wanted to.

Finally got final fit on downpipe. Just have to weld on vband and it’s staying a dump for now. Hope tires don’t hit it.

lol ya I know. Those digital gauge screens are the tits. I'm a sucker for physical gauges though.

Ass temp would be a good one. Really be able to put your passengers on blast

I haven’t got had real bad buy a cut off yet.

Honestly I wanted simple, stock looking and I don’t want to be pulling check engine bulbs.

Coulda made a bezel w actual gauges but they are like $200 each and I would have needed 5-6 and would have to wire.

I’m not over the moon on the size but the 13 didn’t fit. When I do the cage and dash I’ll step up to a 13” or 2 of the 6.86” ones I have.

Gonna have to put a fucking magnifying glass to see all the shit on it.

oh, plus this has a gps setup for speed and whatever else.

Shifters have moved in. Not even touching them til next year. Got basically no pass to driver side movement so bending them 4” over then up is just silly. Prob gotta do something like @malburg114 has at some point.

I think this is the part of installing an Atlas that everyone glosses over the old posts stating that they really don’t fit super well clocked much at all lol
