    Hello Tacoma community,
I have question I tried lifting the front of my 5 lug 2nd gen Tacoma , and there’s rust that makes the bolts of control arm and sway bar not to loose at all, is there another easy way of getting the strut out without doing those? Thanks like maybe compressing the spring does that work? Thank you the lift is 2.5”

Got a lot of stuff lol
Unfortunately both of those bolts are going to need to be removed. Not sure what tools you have on hand but you could always soak the bolts over night with a penitrant like wd40. In the morning if you don't have an impact put the socket on and wack the ratchet with a hammer. Also leverage is your friend like a pipe something to give you more. It sucks when there's rust good luck man.

Try using PB Blaster, liquid wrench, or make your own rust penetrant mixing 50/50 transmission fluid and acetone. I mix my own and it works great. Also get yourself a hand held propane torch and try some heat after letting it soak. Good luck!
