2015 V6 4L Tacoma. 60k. Put on approx 10k per year. Spare vehicle we use for camping, skiing, surfing, mountain biking, road trips. Do not tow or do much off roading. I have been reading past threads and still confused on service recommendations.

Over kill to follow this plan?
diff oil changes, spark plugs, and auto trans fluid (drain/fill)….all every 30k? Reasonable to extend any to 60k?

planning on keeping this truck 30+ years and if doing some early maintenance preserves it I’m happy to. However, I go easy on the truck too and don’t want to go overkill either.

Tranny is good until 100k but I would do 75k

Diffs if just cruising you will be fine at 60k

Plugs I would do at 30k Oil changes every 5k.

Transmission fluid is a lot more than 30, more like 60-100 depending on what you’re doing. but front rear diffs and transfer case I do every 30. I do transmission every 100k. Sparkplugs it depends on which you get. I do coppers and do every 30. Iridiums are 50-60k I believe. I lube drive shaft and ball joints and control arm bushings(those that are grease-able) every oil change which I do around 6500 miles.

Just follow the owners manual scheduled maintenance. What you are going to get with your question is - this is what l do, or this is what I think. If you want to do some maintenance sooner than the OM suggests then do so. Won’t go wrong following the OM.

this issue is there is no recommended interval for transmission fluid. It also says to just inspect the differential fluid

Thank you! How does this look?

    EVERY 5k:
    Oil/filter.
    engine filter once a year

    EVERY 30K:
    Spark plugs

    EVERY 60k:
    Diff and auto trans

    EVERY 50k or 5 YEARS:
    Coolant

    AS NEEDED:
    Brake fluid, power steering fluid.

    Am I missing anything?

Depending on your location, spray your frame with some type of rust preventative. Also spray up into the weep holes in the doors and the pinch seam on the rockers and cab corners.
Lower your spare tire winch and spray it well with something like Fluid Film and hose it down as you crank it up. I've had one of these seize on an older Toyota truck.
When you're spraying your frame, spray the brake lines where they go up over your gas tank. I've also had these rust out on my old T-100. I had that truck for 17 years and plan on having my Taco just as long.
Diffs are easy. After you change it a couple of times, you'll be able to see the condition of the fluid you're draining and can adjust accordingly.
I've even sprayed into my fender wells from inside the engine compartment, the box sides and into the tailgate as well. These are the things that will rust in an older truck.
If the 'air frame' is solid, you can do a lot to keep these little beauties on the road!

    Transfer case fluid too.
And keep an eye on the rear diff breather. Jiggle it and make sure it’s free.
If it’s stuck, you’ll blow an axle seal in short time:thumbsup:

Looks good, also Stay away from FRAM, they are junk. WIX isnt much better. I prefer Toyota, Mobil 1, Bosch or Napa brand. Just my top 4 preference on Tacoma.

I do the drain and fill. At 30, 60, etc. Same for my 2012 RAV4

The 2014 Tacoma is my second, 2006 was first and followed the same interval. Sold at 90K.

Thanks, I asked because I noticed the original had some very useful links which don't work on a picture.
