Hello person reading this. I have an 04 taco and I want to add some mods. I already have a muffler on it, air intake, running boards and bed cover. What else should I add to it? It is the prerunner with diff lock on it too. Thanks!

Rock sliders, bedliner, intake, turn signal mod, ARB front bumper, All-Pro Off-Road Pre-Runner Rear Bumper, Smittybilt X2O COMP wench (pun intended) W/Synthetic Rope, snorkel, OME 883'S, BILSTEIN 5100'S F/R, air bags, big 4,more to come.
I guess you should really ask yourself, what are you going to do with it? Overland, rock crawl, mall crawl, race? Then go from there.

I do want a 4x4 and I have thought of doing so. Isn't it like, 5 grand if not more to do so?

Do it yourself, and the only hard part is the gathering of parts.

If you've got a V6, then you'll just have trouble sourcing an 03-04 4x4 transmission.

But no, it's pretty cheap compared to most other things you'd modify your truck for.

But before jumping the gun to say 'I do want a 4x4' why don't you explore what your actual goals are?

Throwing money at a vehicle without a specific goal or idea of what you want or need it to achieve is a waste, as you'll find yourself spending more to replace those mods.

Figure out what you want or need to do with the vehicle, then ask yourself "is my truck capable of the task?"

If so, perfect you're almost done!

If not, ask yourself "how much am I willing to spend to make my truck capable of the task?"

I also don’t know what you want to do with your truck but my opinion is since it’s a truck you should use it like one and that means hauling. If you are going to haul then IMO lack of bed lights was a shortcoming of these early trucks. Put in a bed light kit. They’re easy, you’ll learn something along the way and you’ll make it more functional in the process.

    Just my $.02.
