I installed a couple of Fumoto valves and I did not use a torque wrench. Just tightened them the same amount that I tighten regular drain plugs. They never leaked.

Hit a deer tonight, first time, I guess it was bound to happen at some point.
Front end was hissing, no leaks that I could see.
Plus side is I changed my deductible from $1500 to $150 not even two months ago.
Funny thing is, I was reading about some other dude who hit a deer on TW and was out $2000 in damages and was regretting not lowering his deductible, which in turn led me to lowering mine. Guess I owe this fella a thank you of sorts.
Any recommendations on steel bumpers, what looks good but more importantly, is functional?

I think you are looking at at least $8000 in repairs. I've hit two deer in my Tacomas (08 & 13) and they were both around $8000. $150 out of pocket of course

My son in-law hit one last week on his way home from work, 8 point buck @55mph, air bags deployed, he was driving a 3rd gen (2 miles from home). I did not get a pic to post, he was not hurt but I will be surprised if they do not total the truck.

Damn, glad he’s okay. The deer I hit was a 7 point, going 45, and air bags did not deploy.

I hit a big muley doe up near Bowman, ND several years ago in a Jeep Cherokee. She wrapped the radiator around the front of the engine pretty good so had to get a wrecker and a state patrolman out there. Patrolman offered to take me to a motel he knew of in Bowman so I got a ride to town. As we drove, he commented that I was lucky the air bags didn't go off (?) and said that the deer probably wasn't heavy enough to trigger them on that particular vehicle. He said that they had recently (late 1990's) had a patrolman killed due to a deer strike - that had set off the cruiser airbags and it incapacitated the driver, but did not slow the vehicle at all. It left the road at speed and was abruptly stopped by a power pole. Due to the constant long distance, everyday driving they were doing, the patrolmen apparently were all very familiar with wildlife collisions. As a result it was offered to the officers that at their own risk, they could have the driver airbags disabled. That was 25 years ago, but I wonder what sort of impact related logic is programmed into the airbag sensor / activator systems today. The Cherokee hit the running deer pretty hard - but initially in the legs and the body went over the bumper. No real jolt or instant slowing - so they must be monitoring deceleration?

Sounds about right, as I didn’t even touch the brakes (no time) until after the collision and when it was safe to, lots of traffic, and no airbags.

Love the SRV reference. Saw him for the 1st time at Alpine Valley, the Saturday of that fateful (and tragic) weekend.
